_Trainer

If you work in construction, agriculture, transport or any industry for that matter and your interested in becoming a trainer for courses such as working safely at heights, forklift, scissor lift, white card and more, get in touch with us! This is where you can utilize your knowledge and experience of machines, equipment and safe work practices to educate individuals to upskill them in their industry.

Minimum qualifications required:

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Heavy Vehicle Trainer/Assessor

If you are an experienced truck driver looking for a change or you are a qualified trainer, get in touch with us! This is where you can utilize your knowledge of transportation regulations and safe driving practices to ensure safe and efficient training delivery to upskill individuals to gain their heavy vehicle licence.

Minimum qualifications required:

Held a Heavy Rigid (HR) or higher licence class for at least 3 years
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or at the very minimum complete the below unit

TAEASS412 Assess competence

With these qualifications, we can guide you on how to become a TfNSW-approved professional to conduct training and assessments for heavy vehicle licences. Once you are approved and registered, there is a potential to work alongside MHTG!

Please expect to complete the following when working towards this qualification:

Apply for a driving instructor licence through Services NSW
Completion of Transport for NSW approved Trainer/Assessor course (TLI41222 - Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training)
Police check

Skills required

Excellent communication skills & the ability to work with people from a range of backgrounds
Be familiar with the concepts of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
Be self-driven and able to manage your own schedule
Have exceptional time management skills and flexibility
Have a passion for safety and compliance
Have an understanding of weight distribution and load restraint, dangerous goods, completing work diaries and vehicle maintenance
