MHTG's one-day First Aid training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills in providing first aid response, life support, and the management of casualties until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
Each of these units applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, an emergency or first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Upon completion, participants will be issued with a statement of attainment for three nationally recognised units of competency:
Delivery and Duration: MHTG can schedule First Aid Training in 2 ways;
Face to Face - Training and assessment is delivered Face to Face over 1 full day.
OR
Online Modules with Face to Face Assessment - Online training modules are completed prior to attending an assessment day this may take up to 3-4 hours
*Please note these online modules can be saved as you go and do not need to be completed all at once.
In addition to the training the participant will attend a Face to Face Assessment 3 - 4 hours, typically scheduled in a morning session.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The CPR unit provides participants the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Topics covered in this unit of competency include:
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Perform CPR procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is required to be refreshed every 12 months.
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
Topics covered in this unit of competency include:
- Respond to an emergency situation
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Communicate details of the incident
Provide basic emergency life support is required to be refreshed every three years.
HLTAID011 Provide first aid

- Evaluate the incident and own performance
Provide first aid is required to be refreshed every three years.
