The Confined Space refresher course is designed to refresh and renew the skills of participants who have previously completed a confined space course. Refreshing skills allows participants to reflect on their current work practices to ensure they are keeping themselves safe in the workplace.

Duration: 1 day

 This one-day course focuses on practical, hands-on learning to refresh your confined space competencies.

• Identifying confined spaces and potential hazards 
• Conducting risk assessments and understanding hazard controls 
• Confined space work permits and entry procedures 
• Safety procedures and protocols 
• Atmospheric monitoring and gas detection 
• Practical entry into a confined space

Whilst there is no expiry date on the Confined Spaces course, it is industry best practice and recommended in the Australian Standards that you maintain your competency. It is recommended that re-training or refresher training be provided every two years, especially considering the frequency of work related to confined spaces.

Course Requirements

• Photo ID
• Enclosed footwear, high-visibility vest, hard hat, (Optional: long pants, and it may be beneficial to have gloves)
